I like to fly airplanes in Microsoft Flight Simulator and a popular commercial device know as TrackIR enables users to control the viewing direction of the screen by wearing a head mounted vector unit. Usually TrackIR units sell between $120-$150, but there is a wonderful group of people that have put together a free program called FreeTrack that allows you to use your own unit with a common webcam to obtain the same control of the screen. FreeTrack can be used with many computer games.
